Summary: He isn't looking, not really. He isn't waiting. He's moving on. Even if it feels like he's standing still.
Author's notes: Just a little drabble-y fic that hit me about three o'clock in the morning and, shock of shocks, stayed with me until I woke up and was conscious enough to write it down. Some thoughts on how Jack has changed—and stayed the same—since The Parting of the Ways. I'm not convinced Torchwood will end up shippy, but the concept worked for this fic. Also, the poem I reference by Wilfred Owen is called "Dulce et Decorum Est". The title is a link to a web page where you can find the poem. Comments and/or concrit are love.
