If you take a look up in the author's notes, you'll see that this was an idea I had kicking around in my head for some time, but the whole "TARDIS in the Hub" thing almost destroyed it. Consequently, I'm pretending, for the sake of this fic, that that didn't happen--the Doctor didn't show up at the end of 1x13. Everything else is the same. :)
