Owen, Owen, Owen. I like Owen, despite his arseholeness, but I like Rose more, so I rather wanted to hit him in this chapter. Fortunately, so did everyone else. I could picture him saying that sort of stuff though and Jack's reaction was definitely believable.
Speaking of Jack: I love him! Sweet and protective and very Jack.
Rose's lines were downright creepy and while I suppose they were in part true (the Doctor does have a lot of blood on his hands) she must have gone through a hell of a lot to think that way, given her and the Doctor's cavalier attitude towards danger in series 2. I will be interested to hear more.
The others from Torchwood fit nicely into this chapter and work well in character. Ianto is professional as ever and Gwen's compassion is very realistic.
