Title: Names
Author:
aibhinn
Pairing: Ten/Rose
Word count: 100, of course!
Summary: The sun was shining brightly on the day he told her his name.
Warnings: None, no spoilers.
Rating: R
Author's note: This just sort of came to me, inspired by the final chapter of
sensiblecat's Dreaming Spires and Tofu Burgers. Or rather, by something the Doctor said therein.
The sun was shining brightly on the day he told her his name.
She lay in his arms, pulsing with her own pleasure. He pressed deeper into her, rested his forehead against hers, and breathed out a long, polysyllabic tumble of musical phonemes that seemed somehow to encompass all that he was, all they could be together. She'd never be able to repeat it, but she'd never need to.
No wonder he'd never said 'I love you,' she thought. This was the truest way that he could. And so she responded with her own new name for herself: "Yours. Forever."
